Chamberlain, chairman of tho senate commlttco on military affairs, made public here last night by tho American Ameri-can Defense society. Tho letter declared de-clared that the work of tho bureaus often caused duplication or runs "cronswlso," and tho merging under one head is recommended for the bureau bu-reau of investigation of tho department depart-ment of Justice of tho United States secret service of tho treasury department, depart-ment, tho war intelligence bureau of I tho war department and tho bureau of postofflec investigation as well as other smaller agencies. |
