IJU SUGAR CARDS TO BE ISSUED IN r m R I S Paris, Jan. 21. Sugar cards are to be instituted in France. Their intro ductioh .n Paris and the department of the seine will be accompanied by a census yvith a view of making .-o measure effectual. It is officially stated stat-ed that the objects of the measure are to diminish the sea transport, reduce purchases abroad and ayoid the export ex-port of gold. The government also has decided that after February 1 all confectionery establishments must close Tuesday and Wednesday of each week except holidays During these two days the consumption is strictly forbidden of cakes, tarts and candies in confectionery confection-ery and bread shops, hotels, cafes and groceries.
