Williams was adjudged ad-judged responsible, Saturday afternoon, after-noon, by a board of inquiry, for the derailment of Southern Pacific passenger pas-senger train No. 10, at Valley Pass, Nevada, on the afternoon of Man h D The board of inquiry was composed of Rev. John E. Carver, A. R. Mclntyre, representing the public, and Asst. Supt. F. C. Smith. Division Engineer Oils Weeks and Master Mechanic David Da-vid Hickey, the railroad. Its report follows; "Train No. 10, consisting of nine cars, engine 2451. Engineer G. Lei-dig. Lei-dig. Conductor A. J. Crase. Head Brakeman W. Jewell Rear Brakeman F. R. Williams. Stopped at Valle Pass, at the west switch, north passing pass-ing track, to head in for No. 19, Head Brakeman opened switch and Rir Brakeman F. EL Williams got off at the head end of the rear car on south side, which is opposite side from the witch stand, until he thought the; rear pair of trucks on the rear car had passed the derail, which Is a pipe connected Have?, derail, then threw i switch over for the main line, do-1 railing rear pair of truck of the ob-j Berratlon car.
