Show 1 Society RED CROSS TEA. Mrs. A. R. 1 ley wood was hostess at the Maids' and Matrons club yesterday yester-day afternoon to Beventy-flve ounc ladies of St. Joseph's Catholic church and to the young ladies of the City hall staff. The club rooms were beautifully decorated with American flags and a silk flag was the favor at each plate. The table was in the shape of the Red Cross emblem and a beautiful centerpiece of red carnations added to the beauty of the well-laid board. Mrs. Don Maguire and Mrs W. L Maginnis poured and Miss Daisy Ma-;;innis Ma-;;innis assisted in entertaining. A delightful and most appropriate musical program was given Miss Marguerite Toy, violinist; Miss Avon Rich, cello, and Mi a I eel Ra-gan, Ra-gan, pianist, gave some beautiful selections se-lections and Mr. W. II Manning, accompanied ac-companied by Lester Hinchcliff, sang "Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean," "The Flag Without a Stain," and the "Star-Spangled Banner," the entire audience joining with fine effect In the chorus of the lat song. Delicious refreshments were served DUDMAN-HANSEN Mr Arthur Hansen and Miss Fern Dudman left Ogden this morning to be married at the home of Mr Han sen s sister. Mrs. 6. L. King, of Salt Lake City. After the honevmoon the young couple will receive friends at their home, 722 Barlow lane, after March 25. FELICE CLUB -Mrs. Frank Mathews entertained the Felice club ladles last Tuesday afternoon after-noon at her home on Van Buren avenue ave-nue with Mrs. Archie Decker as a guest of the club. The social hour was followed bv a luncheon served by the hostess. Mrs L. B Olsen, 2 ifir, iini avenue, will enteitain the club in two weeks. KLITAT CLUB Mrs. L. J. Parry was hostess to the Klitat dub last W. dnesday at her home, which was prettily decorated vnii Bpring flowers. The" social hour was followed by a luncheon served bv the hoste 88. Mw T. J Thomas Will entertain the club at its next meeting, Wcdm-a day of this week. MEET ON WEDNESDAY The Woman's Missionary society of the Methodist-Episcopal church will hold a meeting at the parsonage Wednesday Wed-nesday at 2:30 o'clock. The topic will be "Christian Conquest in Europe" with Mrs. S. M. Southmayd as leader. METHODIST LADIES' AID The Ladies' Aid BOCiet of the Meth-Odist-Episeopal church will nun with Mrs. r S. Baird, 2343 Quinev avenue Thursday at 2:30 o clock, with the Mesdames Drake Palck and Anderson assisting in entertaining. |
