Neale, a local youth with a Ju. venile court record but who has now passed from the jurisdiction of that tribunal, was sentenced this morning by Municipal Judge George S. Barker to serve thirty days in the city jail, with no alternative. He was arrested Sunday morning by Detective Robert Chambers and charged with disturb-Ing disturb-Ing the peace, escaping a more serious seri-ous charge through the sympathy of; the authorities for his parents. Neale, who is 20 years of age, pleaded guilty to the charge against him and in telling his story, which was corroborated In part by other circumstantial cir-cumstantial evidence, said he had attended at-tended a dance Saturday night until midnight and then, with several other boys, each of whom had a girl companion, com-panion, went to a lower Twenty-fifth street restaurant for supper. About 1 a. in., being without a companion of the opposite sex, it was suggested tnat lie 'go out and get a girl." His mood was receptive to the suggestion and he proceeded to act. Mounting his bicycle, he rode to the home of a girl acquaintance In the south-eastern part of the city, but failed to accomplish! lus purpose and rode on to his home. I At this point, evidence was introduced intro-duced by Detective Chambers and other witnesses, proving that the defendant de-fendant had raised a window at the residence of the girl he was seeking and attempted to awaken her. He succeeded suc-ceeded in this but, however, the young lady suspected that a burglar was trying to enter the house and alarmed her parents.
