Show HHY BE CLUE TO II FUGITIVE A clue, which, it is thought, will enable the authorities to eventually capture Frank Proctorj.bne of the trio who escaped from th'e'countv jail lato Saturday afternoon by digging through the jail wall, was uncovered by Curt Allison, deputy sheriff, at the county Jail late yesterday afternoon. In going go-ing through some of Proctor's belongings be-longings left in the cell he had occupied, occu-pied, the deputy found a letter addressed ad-dressed to Frank Prultt. The epistle bore an Independence, Mo postmark. post-mark. The fact Proctor had stated previously that his home was in Independence Inde-pendence caused the authorities to believe be-lieve much of his story and that his name was Pruitt Instead of Proctor. Proctor's description has been wired' to authorities at Independence aid further information concerning him is asked. Tho other two fugitives are A. D. Smith and F. R. Fackler. Smith was arrested in the H. L. Herrington home, which place he is alleged to have entered en-tered to commit burglary. Proctor, or Pruitt, is charged with having held up and robbed John Thomas on lower low-er Twenty-fifth street. Fncklor was recently sentenced to serve six months in the county jail, having been implicated in burglarizing a grocery store at 1800 Washington avenue. |
