Show DUTCH IRRITATED BY THE GERMANS The Hague. April 16 Further min iterlal conferences were held today to consider the sinking of the Dutch steamer Katwyk from Baltimore for Rotterdam with a cargo of grain consigned con-signed to The Netherlands government govern-ment in the North sea Wednesday night. The sinking of the steamer without warning has caused most widespread public irritation and has called forth 6tinglng protests from all the newspapers, news-papers, even those inclined toward the German side. The papers say there appears no doubt but that a tJ-crman submarine was guilty , and the question Is asked generally whether the captain of the submarine was act ing against specific Instructions to avoid the sinking of neutral Bhips or whether the orders recently were changed by Germany |
