Butters of Morgan countv, and other Morgan county people, peo-ple, went to Salt Lake today to con-I con-I fer with Ckivernor William Spry re-'specting re-'specting the reward of $5000 offered for the arrest and couvictlon of J. H. Martin for blackmail. There arc oths who claim to have been instrumental in convicting Martin, Mar-tin, who is now serving five year.-- in the state penitentiary for shooting David Da-vid Edwards, a Pinkerton detective, i November 9, 1913. Edwards was sent out a decoy by L. R Eccles who had i receiver) blackmail letters demanding the payment of money on peril of his j life. |
