Show SEW. SUTHERLAND'S DAUGHTER SEEKS A DIVORCE Salt Lake, April 24 -Emma S Law rence sued Charles W Lisrenre for 'divorce in the district court yesterday j afternoon, alleging failure to provide. Mrs. I awrence is the daughter of Senator George Sutherland. Lawrence Law-rence Is the son of if. W Lawrence, City commissioner, and la the chief Clerk in the city street department. Upon learning of the action. Mr Lawrence issued a written statement, in which he lays the blame for the blasting of the domestic bliss of himself him-self and wife at the feet of Senator Sutherland and Mrs. Sutherland. In this statement he declares that Mrs Sutherland has not spoken to jhim since he married her daughter twelve years ago. and that for five years past she has followed a sys-Letnatic sys-Letnatic course intended to estrange her daughter from Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence charges that since October 10, lf,l4, her husband lias failed to provide her with the neces-tries neces-tries ot life Two children, Edith Anne Lawrence aged 11 years, and Henry William Lawrence, aged 9 years, are the issue of the marriage The girl is now with her mother, who is residing With her parents In Wash Ington, D.
