Bush, city ticket agent of Sie Southern Pacific railroad, rail-road, went to Salt Lake City yestcr-day, yestcr-day, where they joined tho other members mem-bers of tho Southern Pacific traffic department de-partment in this district, in -welcoming F. E. Scott to his new headquarters. headquar-ters. Mr. Scott is the now district freight and passenger agent, havjng been appointed to succeed C. L. Mc-Faul, Mc-Faul, who has been promoted to tho position of general agent of the samo company at Fresno, Cal, The retiring district agent, Mr. Mc-Faul, Mc-Faul, who has a host of friends in Ogden Og-den commercial and railroad circles as in other parts of the district, will depart de-part for his new headquarters some time this week. He was assigned to the headquarters at Salt Lake City in 1913, and has since that time beon ono of the prominent "boosters" of tho intermountaln country. He is president presi-dent of the Salt Lake Passenger association asso-ciation and one of the vice-presidents of tho Salt Lake Transportation club, in addition to being a member of other civic and social organizations, Mr. Scott comes to Utah from the general offices at San Francisco, where he was right-hand man to G. W, Luce, general frolght agent of tho Southern Pacific, and, according to Messrs. Wilson and Bush of the local office, possesses the qualities that have figured in the making of his predecessor's pre-decessor's success in '.his territory. It is expected that Mr. Scott will pay a visit to Ogden later In the week. i |
