Show BOY HIT BY AUTO DIES AT HOSPITAL Salt Lake, Sept. 18. Leonard Mc-Ilale, Mc-Ilale, 13 years of age, while riding a bicycle, collided with an automobile on Second West, near Fourth North street, at S o'clock last evening and was so severely injured that he died a few minutes later at St. Mark's hospital, hos-pital, where he was taken immediately immediate-ly after the accident. The body of the boy was not identified identi-fied until after midnight, and only then after much work on the part of the police department. Police officers offi-cers obtained the number of tho boy's bicycle and then called dealers until they found tho one who had sold the machine. Learning that the name of the purchaser was McHalo, J. B. Mc-Hale, Mc-Hale, residing at 1529 west Fourth North street, was visited and it was learned that Leonard McHale, his son, was missing. Mr. and Mrs. McHale then hurried to the hospital and identified iden-tified the body as that of their son. , The boy, In addition to his parents, is survived by a twin brother and eight other brothers nnd sisters. The father Is a switchman and is in the employ of the Oregon Short Line. The automobile with which the boy collided was driven by Albert Bol-ton, Bol-ton, 23 years of age, son of Frederick Bolton, a well-known market gardener of Bountiful, hir. and Mrs. Frederick Bolton and their daughter also were in the machine at the time. |
