Corn hardens with wheat. At Mrst however, the market lacked support. After opening 3-8l-2c off to 1-Sc up, -prices scored a general net gain. Commission house buying put some firmness Into oats. Values seemed to depend wholly on the action of other gialn. Provisions went down grade with hogs. Demand was only of a scattering scatter-ing character. Advices telling of need of rain In Oklahoma tended later to cause an additional advance in wheat. Estimates Esti-mates were current that Oklahoma and Kansas together would have a shortage of 32,000,000 bushels as compared with last year The close was firm 3-4 to 1 1-Sc net higher, with July at $1.17 1-2 and September at $1.17 l-25-8c. Export inquiry helped to sustain tho corn advance. The close was firm l-Sl-4c to 5-Sc net higher. |
