Show NARROVLY ESQAPES SECOND ACCIDENT Salt Lake, April 19. Eelieved to have been struck and deserted by tho driver of a speeding automobile, Mrs. Mary E. Conway, 863 East Fifth South street, 58 years of ago, was dragged from tho car tracks at Seventh Sev-enth East and First South streets at 7.45 o'clock last night by P. W. Mad-sen, Mad-sen, Jr., as a street car rushed toward the prostrate figure through blinding rfin. Mrs. Conway was rushed to the police po-lice emergency hospital In a semiconscious semi-conscious condition. She was placed on the operating table and Dr. W Scott Keytlug attended her injuries. She was found to be suffering from a complete dislocation of the left knee, lacerations on the face and neck and possible internal Injuries. Mrs. Conway was questioned as to tho accident She could not remember remem-ber anything furthor than leaving the home of her employer near Seventh East street and being placed on the operating table. Mrs Conway is a widow. Her husband, hus-band, Walter Conway, died three years ago. While the injuries received receiv-ed in the accident would not ordinarily ordinar-ily be regarded as serious, the woman's wom-an's age and the long exposure add gravity to her condition. |
