Evans 5 todav submitted an opinion on the g question of the legality of the action j of tho board in remitting 5500 to the I bank which furnished a free bond for I the county treasurer, saying that there I is no authority in law for the remit- 1 tnnce. The attorney says that not- 1 withstanding there wns no charge for H the bond, there could be no approprl- I atlon for it under the law. Tho board today was also advised by the county attorney that the county I should collect 2 per cent interest on daily balances in bank and that the I county would bo required to pay 5 per M cent on dally overdrafts. I
