The city engineer has made a par-tin! par-tin! survey of the driveway and he states that it ia a feasible project In his estimation, the cost for the improvement im-provement would be comparatively small, and the property owners would be justified in the expense by the good results which would obtain In the building up of th- district through which the boulevard would pass. The plan will be to have tho driveway drive-way follow the line of the river from the city limits on the west to tho mouth of Ogden canyon at the city limits on the cast, traversing the en-tiro en-tiro width of the ctt following the meanderlngs of the river. It is suggested sug-gested that the boulevard should bo at least 24 feet wide 12 feet on each bide of tho river, and ihat tho best possible macadam surface should bo laid, which would make it the most picturesque city driveway iu the state of Utah. The distance across tho city, following fol-lowing the courso of tho river channel, chan-nel, would be nearly five miles. It la roughly estimated that the cost of the roadway would be $100,000 and that a number of years' time would he r quired in its construction In fact, it is said the property owners could take their ovn time in the building build-ing operations, completing the boulevard boule-vard In sections. |
