Show A MILLION AUTOS IN ONE YEAR. That the automobile industry has grown to very largo proportions is disclosed by a review of the business of five of the big companies. In the fiscal year ended June 30, 1914, there were 435,000 automobiles produced in the United States. During the year ended June 30, .1915, it is estimated that this output was brought up to nearly 600,000 machines, of which tho Ford company produced one-half. During Dur-ing the coming year, if the plans of the manufacturers materialize, the production will be very much larger, as may bo seen from the following table, showing tho output in cars tor the 1915 flBcal year, and the estimated esti-mated output for the 1916 year of the five largest companies: Company. 1915 i916. In this connection it may be interesting to note that on the first of last June, the total number of motor cars in the United States reached 2,000,000 for the first time, s |
