Ho stated that Ogdon is to be mado tho largest central distributing point in tho west and that there will be no delay de-lay in making arrangements for the change. Speaking of tho situation, Mr. McGrath said: "The distribution facilities will bo enlarged and the force increased at .the Ogden terminal railway post office of-fice -which will make Ogden tho largest larg-est distributing center for parcel post and circular malls west of the Missouri Mis-souri river, taking rank ahead of terminals ter-minals at Buch points as San Francisco, Francis-co, Los Angeles and Seattle. "Parcel and circular matter from the east for tho states of Utah, Idaho, Nevada and California and from the west for the states of Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska Ne-braska and North and South. Dakota will bo distributed. "Tho importance of this separate branch of the servico to Ogden may bo Judged by the fact that the immediate immedi-ate changes will bring the total amount expended in Ogden to approximately approx-imately $33,000 per annum. The Ogden Og-den terminal now employs 15 men and the force will be immediately increased increas-ed to 23 men with the expectation that it will be doubled when we aro called upon to handle the usual winter mnlle |
