Eleven bishops, bish-ops, ono archbishop and many prominent promi-nent laymen of the church were present pres-ent at the banquet tendered in honor of Bishop Glass by the Newman club last night. Isidore B. Dockweiler, president of the club, acted as toastmaster. Be-I Be-I fore tho banquet an informal recep-rtloii recep-rtloii was held at the Alexandria hotel ho-tel The address of congratulation was delivered by Judge Paul J. McCor-ralck, McCor-ralck, who said that the Rev. Dr. Glass had won his appointment as bishop by his distinguished record as pastor of St. Vincent's church. John Stevens McGroarty, author of tho Mission play, spoke a word of welcome to the visiting bishops and archbislrops. Bishop Glass, in response to the addresses, ad-dresses, said: "I am going to love Salt Lake and I am going to love Its people, as I have loved Los Angeles and its people. peo-ple. And I am going to try to live up to all tho splendid things that have been said about me at this gathering." At a late hour tonight only soven of tho Catholic clergymen who attended at-tended the consecration of Bishop Glass wore positive that they would attend the installation ceremonies at Salt Lako City.
