Show 1ST OHM LICENSE TO SELL MILK I THIS CITY The local birth record for tho month of Juno came vjithin one point of tripling the record of deaths, according ac-cording to the report Issued this morning morn-ing by Inspector George Shorten. In all, tho births numbered 66, 35 males and 31 females, and there were 23 - V deaths, 12 males and 11 females. Con- ' tagtous diseases reported numbered . 24.and Included 5 cases of smallpox. 2 of pneumonia, 2 of chickenpox and 15 of whooping cough. In the milk and dairy department, 39 dairy permits were Issued and Rf dairies were Inspected. Thirty-eight samples of retail milk, 3 samples of wholesale milk and 5 samples of Ice cream were collected and analyzed. Tho report of work dono In the j sanitary divisions shows that 97 in- spectlons were made and S3 written notices to ameliorate bad conditions, were served. At tho city dump, 233 cans of rubbish were disposed of and G at the crematory 10 loads of garbage K 28 dogs, 8 horses, 1 sheep and 2 cava $ were destroyed.
