Show ' THE CONTEST FOR MAYOR. A. R. Heywood was highly instrumental in obtaining the forest service for Ogden. He was given an honorary position by the business busi-ness men's club and before his term of office expired he accomplished i much for this city. This goes to demonstrate that Mr. Heywood is capable of niakin" good m any field of effort that is to his liking. i He is a man of excellent attainments, who is not afraid of work ( and never neglects to perform his full obligations. He is a man who ' can say "NO!" He has no strings tied to him through business con- ' pnections or otherwise, ne is ambitious to serve Ogden well. Per- j haps he aspires to honors even higher. He is just the man Ogden should have for Maj'or at a time when taxes are so high and thero are so many reforms in public affairs demanding attention. "Why not vote for him? Would you prefer him to take charge I of your business, if 'you had to select one of the two men now aspiring for the office of Mayor? If you answer yes, then why not I be equally as exacting in choosing a manager for Ogden 's big'busi- j ness affairs? You owe it to your city to be as careful in electing a mayor as you would be, if you were deciding on the future security of your own property. Cast aside whatever prejudices you may have and vote for the good of Ogden. Vote with the conscience of an American citizen laboring to place the welfare of all above any petty narrowness or selfishness. J |
