Show REAR ADMIRAL FACING CHARGES Boston, Nov. 1. Before a court B martial at the Charlestown navy yard, I Rear Admiral William Nelson Little, I retired, today faced charges of 'neg- I lect and carelessness. The govern- 1 ment contends that alleged defects in ft submarine K-2, constructed by the f Fore River Ship Building company at Quincy, were overlooked by Rear Ad- ralral Little while he was on duty I as inspector of machinery in vessels D being built at the Fore River yards. Sessions of the court martial were I open. Rear Admiral Bradley A. Fiske I served as president of the trial board I and Lieutenant Commander Alfred W. I Johnson as judge advocate. The K-2 was tested in 1912 and I turned over to the government in January 1914. Rear Admiral Little I left the Foro River yard a year ago. I After her acceptance the submarine E developed storage battery trouble. |
