Show CHICAGO GRAIN I Chicago. Dec. 1. Too much rain Kl in Argentina brought about a rally to day In the wheat market after a show of weakness at the start LIv- W&'J erpool dispatches said that Argentine Mj r offerings were small, and that there Kg. was general confidence in a malnten B"' ance of prices. Speculative selling RtU appeared to be responsible for the ErV early setback here. After opening W I unchanged to 3-8Tn-2c lower, the mar- f-v' ket rose to a little above last night's ',R,Vi?;' level all around. m-'': Liberal receipts eased corn. Buying Wk.''. was only of a scattered character Th- t.' opening which was unchanged to 1-Ko BV lower, was followed by a slight rally R?" and then a moderate decline iK Oats developed firmness owing to an active demand from the Seaboard W' For the first time in several days, the r"" market seemed virtually independent of other grain. Lower prices for hogs carried down provisions. Support was lacking and there was little or no evidence of any power to rally. Kansas City advices that rural of- f feriugs had dropped off sharply help- ed later to give wheat prices a lift 1 still higher. The close was steady r at 3-8'(fl 2 to 3-4c net advance. Reports that the heavy shipping I movement from the country to this city had been checked led afterward j to a decided upturn in corn. The close f was steady at the same as last night I to 3-Sc up.
