Show PARADE OF ELKS AND DOC SHOW ON SATURDAY The "Purple Day" committee of the local Elks lodge is circulating letters among the lay members today, in preparation pre-paration for a big parade and street carnival which is to be held Saturday night, commencing at 8 o'clock Each letter requests that the recipient re-cipient buy, beg, borrow or steal :i dog, species not named, to use Satur day night What use will be made of the dog has not yet been given out. but the committee assures the publi' that when the Elks and the dogs get together there will be plenty of fun for everyone. It Is expected that the Elks who will be in the parade will bo costumed cos-tumed and that, when the parade Is over, they will all assist In pultinc off the stunts that are being ar ranged for the carnival. In addition to the celebration Saturday night, the committee has set apart Friday, as "tag day" and will use the "tag" system to boost the attendance at the state celebration at Lagoon next Tuesday. The "Purple Day" committee is composed of Dr. C. K. MacMurdy, P. F. Klrkendall. Roy Buchmlller, Chief of Police Y Norton. Sheriff T. A. DeVlne, Howell Van Dye and "Heinle" Rosenbluth. |
