Show BUCKHORN WINS IN BROOKLYN CLASSIC New York June 23. - The twenty-sixth twenty-sixth running of the Brooklyn handicap han-dicap at one mile and a quarter, was transferred to the Qupeiv; p3Unty Jockey club's track at Aqueduct, Long Island, today, and the event, which Is one of the classics of top Amprican turf, was won hy the five-year-old bay horse, Buckhorn, carrying 113 pounds, and piloted by Jockey McCahey, The winner which Is Whitney bred by Broomstick out 0f Thirty-Third. is owned by the wealthy Canadian turf patron, R J MacKenzle. and trained by J D Adkins. C H Bobbins Buskin, winner of the Metropolitan handicap a month ago, finished second, beaten by a nose, and half a length away Rock View, owned by August Belmont, was third, four lengths in front of his stable sta-ble mate, Thornhill. fourth. Flying Fairy was next with old Donald Mat-Donald Mat-Donald sixth, and Lahore, who broke down during thp race, hopelessh last Only seven horses ran as J. W. Schorr's Luke McLuke, winner of the Belmont stakes, and J. W Mcsser-vy's Mcsser-vy's Charlestonian, which won both the Withers and Larchmont stakes at Belmont park recently, were scratched.
