Show E. E. CALVIN RETURNS FROM I TRIP TO TOE COAST 1 E. E. ralvln. vice president and general manager of the Oregon Short Line, arrived in Ogden at 6 20 this morning en route to Salt Lake City. He has just returned from a trip to ' San Francisco, where he is reported as having held conferences with Presidents Pres-idents Mohler of the Union Pacific and Sproule of the Southern Pacific in reference to the change? of management man-agement in several departments of the Southern Pacific and Oregon Short Line. He scheduled to , have held a meeting with President Mohler at Pocatello, Ida., this morning, morn-ing, but for some reason, not known locally, he did not transfer to a train for the north after arriving In Ogden, but continued on to Salt Lake Some well defined rumors in official of-ficial circles of the Oregon Short Line are to the effect that the Ogden Og-den yardR will be transferred to the control of the Union depot company by the Short Line at the same time that the shops are turnod over to the Southern Pacific. oo |
