Show RAILROAD MAN IS KILLED AT LAGOON Salt Lake, July It Albert Fulton, , about 27 years of ago an employe of i the Denver ft Rio Grande railroad at i Helper, was almost instantly killed al 8 BO last nlKht when ho dived ! from the top of the diving platform at Lagoon Fulton dived almost per- pendicularly into six fee! of water, and his head struck the bottom of the pool with terrific force, fracturing fractur-ing his skull He came to the ton of the water apparently unhurt, but j Immediatelj -ank As he was dis appearing beneath the water other swimmers seized him and dragged him to the shore in an unconscious i-ondltlon. Medical assistance was immediately summoned, but Pulton expired without regaining conscious ness An inquest was held by the coroner of Davis county and a verdict of death by accident was returned The body was turned over to the county authorities and 6ent to Kaysville to be held awaiting the instructions of his relatives Fulton originally came from Scat tie, but for some time past has been in the employ of the D. & R G railroad rail-road at Helper. He was on 8 leave of absence and was registered at the Cullen hotel here Inasmuch as the depth of the water wa-ter in the Lagoon swimming pool is indicated by large signs. It is thought that Fulton must have slipped when he dived and was thrown perpendicularly perpendic-ularly into the water. |
