Show D. C. JACKLING OFF ON TRIP TO ALASKA D. C .Tackling left last night for Seattle, where he will board his yacht, the Cyprus, and sail for Alas-ka Alas-ka June 20. He will be joined in Seattle June 19 by San Francisco. New York Kansas City and Salt j Lake friends The Cyprus was recently overhauled. overhaul-ed. The yacht is now considerably longer than when first built and is fitted to ride rough seas It was found that on her trial trip that the designer had built tho boat too short to ride high seas without rolling ant? Mr. Jackling ordered the boat rebuilt to remedy this condition. Mr. Jackling expects to be in Alaska Alas-ka several days. It is expected by Mr. Jackling that the mill will be ready to operate : by January 1, 1915, This Is the first trip which Mr. Jackling has made into in-to Alaska since he made arrangements arrange-ments for the building of the big stamp mill. He will return to Seattle Seat-tle and Salt Lake, early in July. Accompanying Mr. Jackling on his trip to the north will be representatives representa-tives of the various Jackling enterprises, enter-prises, in addition to several personal friends of Mr. Jackling. The yacht sails from Seattle harbor at 4 o'clock on the afternoon of June 20 and will require four dayi, to male the trip to Juneau. Those who will accompany Mr. Jackling are Mr. and Mrs. C.
