Show MOTION TO REDUCE BOi OF MM SOT HEARD District Attorney John C. Davis and Attorney Jo eph Chez, agrcelnr, this morning that the district court would not gain jurisdiction in the case against J H. Martin until an information should be filed the motion mo-tion to reduce the bond i"ixed by Justice Jus-tice of the Peace R. T. Rhees was not heard before the district judges It was also agreed by the attorneys that the motion for the reduction will be made on Friday morning when .Martin will be arraigned before Judge James A. Howell. The information charging Martin with assault with intent to commit murder was filed by the district a', torney this afternoon, the number ol the paper being 861, an odd number, placing the matter in Judge Howell e division. The arraignment Will take place at 10 o'clock, Friday morning, at which time Mr. Chez will ask for a smaller bond. The filing of the i Information obviates the necessity ot the judges sitting en banc on the i ase as It Will be entirely In Judte Howell's court. Martin is said to be eager to spend at least a part of the holiday period with hh family and he says he can j do so If his bond is fixed at a reo Spnable figure. He continues in the I same frame of mind as has charactei-! charactei-! ized him since the preliminary hear-I hear-I ing. maintaining that hr should be re eased on an ordinary bond to enable him to take care of his family. |
