Show 1 Society SURPRISE. Tuesday afternoon, tbe Dix-Iogan W. R. C. gave a pleasant surprise to Mrs. Ward at the home of her sister, Mrs. Michaels on Douglass avenue. Prior to moving on her farm Mrs. Ward was one of the loved members of the W. R. C. Mrs. Addle Williams assisted in entertaining en-tertaining the girls. The game waa high five with a splendid repast at tho close. There were 22 present. Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Couch, and Mrs. Greenwood were the winners at cards. All wished Mrs. Ward success and happiness In her new home. U. G. W. OF A. GIVE DANCE About 200 couples attended the Union Un-ion Maids Spring Tango, given in the Colonial hall last evening nnd on-joyed on-joyed a program of 28 dances, among which were the "Baltimore," the "Hesitation" and the "Three Stop." Dancing continued until 1 o'clock and the following committees are to be especially commended for their parts in making the affair a pleasant one: Arrangement, Maude West, Boulah Crandall, Norman Boyle, Myron Richardson: Rich-ardson: floor, Gertrude Shafor. Etta Swanson, Beryl Hostettlor, Sadie Id-senga. Id-senga. Nina Shurfz, Grace Montgomery, Montgom-ery, Leo Crandall and Ivy Bolnap, finance, Laurie Wilson, Hilmn Bel-nap, Bel-nap, Rose McNeill, Marie Gotch. Crawford orchestra furnished music and tho service of punch, mint and wlntcrgrecn wafers and salted peanuts pea-nuts by a caterer from Greenwell's was thoroughly enjoyed. FROM BINGHAM Mrs. Frank D.
