The last five regulars arrived In Ogden yesterday, but Jones and Devine have been here about a week. It is probable that four more men will show up tomorrow and enough are expected here by Saturday to mako up two teams for a practico game which will be played Sunday afternoon. af-ternoon. After a period of ball tossing and other exercise, the men were treated to a shower bath in the new club house, which was pronounced "some" class. The conveniences at the club house wero thoroughly tried out by the players and all expressed satisfaction. satis-faction. Considerable talk is already heard concerning the scheduled appearance of the Chicago White Sox team iu Ogden next Tuesday, when it wili play an exhibition game with a team composed of members of the Ogden club. This game will not only give the local "fans" an opportunity " of seeing a number of major league celebrities ce-lebrities in action, but will also afford af-ford them a lino on the ability of the members of the local squad. The White Sox players are expected expect-ed to arrive In Ogdon at 11 a. m. Tuesday from Reno, Nevada, and will be taken to the Reed hotel. After the game which will probably begin at 2:30 p. m., they will spend tho night In Ogden and will go to Salt Lake Wednesday morning. Manager Gimlln stated today that he would, use the two California pitchers, pitch-ers, Hall and Helrick, In tho game with the White Sox, with Lee Raedel at tho receiving end. Raedel and Cliff Healy arrived from Denver this afternoon and will bo out for practice tomorrow morning. Pitchers Hall and Holrlck are already al-ready In good, form as they have been playing winter ball In California. Randy Balllnger and Bert Woolums are expected to arrive somo time tomorrow. |
