This year we have had I the picture of Mrs. Wm. H. Wright produced with that I of our founder. The two portraits are linked together H with a scroll which contains the words "The Founders," J and it is fitting that we should honor the memory of J Mrs. Emma Taylor Wright, for she was indeed, one of I the founders of the business. A gentleman who was to have gone into business with W. H. Wright, became discouraged before the ar- I rival here of the merchandise which was intended for j the opening of the new store. The loss of his financial help made it appear impossible to begin. William H. I Wright was discouraged it is said that he went home and cried, so keen was his disappointment. He had decided de-cided to write cancellations for the goods ordered, when I Mrs. Wright took a part "We will not cancel those I goods," she said, "we'll receive them and open the store I and the way will open up to pay for them."
