Show B. R. BOBBINS ATTEMPTS SUICIDE Rrlgham City. Nov 3. Pedestrians on upper Main street In this city were horrified early in the evening by a man, giving his name as Boon R, Robblns, who attempted to commit com-mit suicide by slashing his throat with a razor The man stopped on the corner of First South and Main streets, in front of the Compton art gallery, and taking a razor from his pocket hurriedly drew the sharp blade across his throat, cutting an ugly gash People who witnessed the ghastly affair hurriedly turned in a police call and Marshal Valentine and others hurried to the scene and took charge of the man, who appeared ap-peared to be deranged. He was hurried to the Pearse-Brown hospi-til hospi-til In this city, and hopes for his recovery are held out, although his wound Is a serious one. When the hospital was reached the man was in a talkative condition for a moment, mo-ment, and when asked about himself i the officers the name of Boon Robbins. The man imagined he was being followed by some one who wanted to do him harm. When his clothing was searched as means of Identification, a card was found addressed to Minnie Batcheld-er. Batcheld-er. Ogden, upon which Robbins had commenced to write, and began with Dear cousin." A letter also was found addressed to D. H Bond, Shef- B R. Robbins. who attempted suicide sui-cide in Rrlgham City was In Ogden until alter 8 oclock yesterday morning morn-ing Since October b he has been residing at Che Ogden house. 17"" Twenty-fifth street, coming herefrom here-from California. Robinson said the man talked of committing suicide sui-cide on several occasions Robinson said that when the two men were In their room together yesterday that Robbins wrote the names of seven women on a piece of paper. The name of Miss Minnie Batch-elder, Batch-elder, whose card was found In Bobbin's Bob-bin's pocket, wa in the list, according accord-ing to Robinson The proprietor of the Ogden house Said that Rohblns was up at 4 o'clock j yesterday morning, hut that he did i not leave the hotel until after 8 o clock.
