Nov. 4 In conMo.uence of the growing commercial relatliorif. between Japan and the United State? and in lew of the opening shortly of the Panama canal, the Japanese government has entered into negotiations nego-tiations with the object of securing reduced rates for telegraphic communication com-munication across the Pacific ocean. Much of the telegraphic business ls now relayed by way of Europe, which Is a less eiponaivo mode of transmission trans-mission but the Japanese officials believe the Interests of Japan and United States require the establishment establish-ment of a cheaper way of direct communication |
