Show CONDEMNATION SUIT FOR THE INTERURBAN H Salt Lake, Jan. 8. The Bamberger jH and Orem interests yesterday started suit in the district court to condemn 'j property owned by the Dinwoodey Furniture company on First West street between Second and Thiru South streets. The ground is wanted want-ed for the purpose of erecting the nronnsed intenirban terminal station to accommodate the Salt Lako & Ogden, Og-den, Salt Lake & LUah and other in-terurban in-terurban railway companies which may desire to use it. After the suit was started It was officially announced that work on the passenger station which is to cost approximately $1,000,000 will be begun be-gun as soon as the proper ground is secured and plans are completed. Announcement was also made yesterday, yes-terday, following a conference between be-tween Simon Bamberger, and W. C. Orem, presidents, respectively, of the Bamberger and the Orem intenirban roads, that the new $100,000 joint car barns will be built as soon as the weather will permit construction work Plans for tbe barns are nearly near-ly completed. The barns will be built on the west side of First West street between Third South and Fourth South streets. Passenger service on the new Salt Lake & Utah road will be opened not later than Februarv 1 Aernrriinc in President Orem. For about a month gasoline cars will be used, but these will be replaced when the line is finished fin-ished from Salt Lake to Provo. on |
