Show oo Society j LADIES OF EASTERN STAR GIVE TEA. This afternoon the ladies of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, O. E. S., are entertaining at a tea From 2 until 5 o'clock delicious dainties were served. BIRTHDAY PARTY. Yesterday afternoon, Mrs. H C Christiansen of Glenwood Acres gave a delightful party for her four-year-old daughter in honor of her birthday anniversary. Quite a number of lrttle tots were present and spent a merry time. Mrs. Christiansen served a dainty luncheon after which the party dispersed RETURNS HOME. Miss Louise Jennings of Salt Lake has returned to that city after spending spend-ing New Years with Mrs. Frank Fouts in Ogden ATTENDS "TANGO" TEA. After attending the "tango" tea last Thursday afternoon at the Kearns home in Salt Lake, Miss Florence Ma-ginnis Ma-ginnis of Ogden has returned home MRS. KAISER ON TRIP. Mrs Emma B. Kaiser left yesterday for New York City and on the 15th will sail on the S. S. Cleveland for an India-Orient cruise; including India. In-dia. Holy Land, Ceylon, Greece. Egypt, Algeria, Madeira and portions of Spain and Italy. After this trip Mrs. Kaiser will have seen most of the world. DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE PARTY. Tuesday evening, Miss Lulu Shaw-was Shaw-was the recipient of a pleasant surprise sur-prise when at 8 o'clock about seventeen seven-teen of her many friends gathered at the Shaw home, 520 16th street. During the evening various new games were enjoyed and several gave pleasing ocal and instrumental selections se-lections At eleven o'clock covers wrere laid in the dining room and a daintily prepared pre-pared luncheon served. Following are the names of those participating. Misses Bessie Miles, Rose Drake, Marion Jones. Lizzie Carr, Babe Green well. Lulu Shaw, Ze-lina Ze-lina Shaw, Ella Shaw and Florence Dinsdale. Tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock Mrs. Best. 2543 Lincoln avenue, will entertain the ladles of No. 581 Women Wom-en of Woodcraft Thimble club at her home. GUNNELL ELLIS. Yesterday, ' Miss Ivy Gunnell, daughter of Judge Volney C. Gunnell and Perry G. Ellis were quietly married mar-ried The bride has numerous friends throughout the city who tender them best wishes for a happy future Mr. Ellis also has many friends both socially and in a business way who wish him wealth and happiness. oo |
