Show MONEY APPROPRIATED FOR WIRELESS OUTFIT The board of education, at the meeting last night, decided to purchase pur-chase a complete wirelesB telegraph outfit to be installed at the Ogden high school. Fifty dollars was appropriated ap-propriated for the purpose. The purchase of an outfit was rec ommended by SupL John Mills and the recommendation was unanimously adopted. Mr. Mills told of the visit which he and President Hiram Pin gree had made to the wireless station sta-tion of Mr. Berrett, an expert local operator, on Tuesday night, and when las talk was concluded the board was enthusiastic about the project. President Presi-dent Plngree said that he would guarantee guar-antee the raising of funds for tne installation in-stallation of a complete outfit and that he would personally donate $25, if the initial fund was not sufficient Howard Harris, Jean Case, George Cook and George Melssner, studentb of the high school, already have Installed In-stalled outfits at their homes and are far enough advanced in the study of wireless to place the outfit at tho high school when it arrives. Mr. Berrett, Ber-rett, the operator, who has been assisting as-sisting these boys, has also offered to do all that he could to assist in the proposed wireless work at the school. |
