Show AN OREGON FARMER "BURBANKS" WHEAT Oregon City, , Or. Sept. 4. A new and unnamed grain has been grown by P O. Chlndgren, a farmer at Mullno, after a series of experiments with the corn wheat and the Egyptian Bpecles of the grain For the last two or three vears the farmer has been studying the possibility possi-bility of "Burbanklng" the two kinds of wheat. Samples just cut and placed on exhibition here show that . he has Ixen highly successful. The gTaln produces a stalk about eight feet long and heads that are much larger and letter than either of the old kinds N'o name has been selected for the new- grain. |
