Show COMPROMISE FERRY ESTATE LAW SUIT Salt Lake, July 12. A compromise has been effected iu the $1,200,000 judgment against the Edward P Ferry estate By the terms of the compromise, com-promise, W. Montague Ferry, the remaining re-maining guardian of the person and estate of Edward P Ferry, surrenders one-half of the estate to the Michigan Trust company, which represents th? heirs, who sued Edward P. Ferry anil obtained Judgment for more than $900,000 which, with Interest araouut3 to $1,200,000. There also is an additional ad-ditional judgment for $16,000, grov. Montague Ferry yesterday filed a peti tiou In the Third District court, ask ing for permission to make the necessary neces-sary transfers, and compromise the BUlt. Under the agreement heretofore entered en-tered into by W. Montague Ferry and the Michigan Trust company, holder of the Judgments, the estate will oe divided, the Michigan Trust company getting one-half and Mr Ferry retaining retain-ing the remaining one-half It Is set out In the petition that the amount of the Judgment cannot be paid wholh in cash but that tbev will be paid, a6 agreed, through a division of the property prop-erty of Edward P Ferry oo |
