Somewhat Some-what serious riotiug occurred here early today at the opening of the celebration of the "Twelfth' the Orangemen's Or-angemen's July festival .Many win dowa were broken and a number of jKlicemen and civilians were injured two of them so severely that they had to be taken .to a hospital Rival factions of nationalists and unionists first fought each other fur lously and then when a large body "f police appeared and endeavored to separate them, joined forces and at tacked the policemen. The fight raged along the streets for an hour and a half Sticks were used freely by the civilians, who also threw stones, accompanied by an oc caelonal revolver shot Thn policemen drew their cluKs and charged, and hand-to-hand fighting went on until f o'clock, when the crowds dispersed Only one arre6t was made oo |
