Peter Buach, a mining man well known throughout Nevada end Colorado, left i Los Angeles Sunda. accompanied by Roy Shaw of the latter city, for Rhy ollte. In a touring car purchased by Busch for his brother, Frank, a prominent prom-inent mine owner of Rhyollte. They came by wav of Ballarat and crossed Death Valley. Near this side of the valley the car became stalled In the sand and the men walked 13 miles In the blaring sun. when Busch became be-came delirious Both still had water In their canteens and Shaw pushed ahead to obtain a fresh supply from a spring of which they bad heard of, although ignorant of the country and nearly exhausted, after bandaging Busch'fl head and placing wet cloths on his breaat. A message had beeu sent Frank Busch at Rhyollte that the men were crossing the desert, but It failed to reach him and when the men were overdue he and others started In search of the auto, and he found his brother's body leas than two miles from the Keane Wonder mlno with water remaining In his canteen He had apparently died from the extreme heat of Death Valley, adding another to hundreds of similar tragedies, but the first auto disaster The man made a desperate struggle and Shaw, who when found, was fighting his way back to Busch with a full canteen. Is pronounced a hero by the victim's brother.
