SUNDAY SCHOOLS AT SALTAIR about a thousand people went on the weber county excursion the excursionists arrived home this morning at 1 there were sixteen coaches all pretty well loaded the excursion train was met by the cars of the rapid transit company which had all they could do to handle the crowd the excursion was given under the auspices of the sunday schools and M I 1 A associations of weber stake and it was baij to be the largest excursion run from weber county in years it is estimated that 1000 people took advantage of the ideal weather and spent the day at famous the day was spent in bathing the water being the best boating picnicking and and patronizing the special attractions old timers say the water is not only under the pavilion but far beyond it approaching the shore line of a few years ago the only thing which might be said to mar the occasion was the late hour in leaving the beach the train should have started from about 8 but a new call boy did not call the engineer and when the engineer was on hand the crowd had dispersed so that the train ald not start for salt lake until after 10 this irregularity was overlooked by the good natured crowd and all returned happy but bagged fagged out with their strenuous day
