| Show CHANT ANNUAL convention WILL BE HELD JULY 1718 17 18 the local association la planning a big time in honor of the visitors the third annual convention of the retail merchants association of the state will be held in ogden july 17 and IS and the junction city will again be called upon to show her genuine hospitality of which she Is justly famous and proud the coming convention ven tion just a week ott means a great deal to ogden will be one of great importance in the state there are at present local associations in every town of ahe stale of any consequence and delegates will ibe sent from each local to the ogden convention not only this but they will bring big crowds besides the delegates and spend the two days here there will probably be in the neighborhood of eighty delegates and several times that many people from outside of ogden representing all portions of the state and the citizens of ogden should take the matter up at once and sea that nothing la left undone for their entertainment while here so that they will leave with a good impression of the city and her people the committee of the local association will meet in the city hall wednesday morning at 10 where the incoming delegates will be welcomed toy mayor conroy in the council chamber after which they will be assigned to their quarters by the committee during the day a business session will be held at the same place the days program winding up with a big open air meeting and smoker in the of columbus hall to which avory retail merchant in ogden is invited the second days session will begin at 10 a m when the election of officers will ibe taken up as well as such other business that may come before the session in the afternoon the meeting will be called to order at and a trip to the canyon will be given the visitors followed by a banquet at abo hermitage given by the bobbera job bera |
