Show HEAVY FAIL OF SNOW SINCE MORNING The snowstorm of today Is a real winter storm, much to the delight of tho merchants Tho snow began falling last ovening and In somo sections of the country continuod throughout the night. Soon after S o'clock this morning tho storm resumed operations and has continued during the greater part of tho day, snow in the city falling to a depth of several inches. At an early hour this morning there was about nine Inches of snow on tho ground at Huntsvllle. At the Hermitage Hermi-tage there was from six to eight inches inch-es of snow and tho storm continues unabated. At Brlgham City more snow has fallen than in this city and it became necessary today for the Rapid Transit company to send u snow plow there to keep tho street car tracks open leading from the main street of tho city to the depot No difficulty has boon encountered, however, between Ogdcn and Brlgham City on the inter-urban inter-urban road Thero Is no wind so far and the snow has not drifted Usually much trouble Is encountered In the deep cuts along the road north of Hot Springs, due to drifts forming Last winter the company plowed through drifts of snow so deep that when the opening was made the high-topped high-topped cars could not be seen from the wagon road as they passed along oo |
