Show uu INJUNCTION IS ISSUED 0N SUNDAY At the request of Simon Bamberger, a -temporary Injunction was Issued yesterday restraining the Utah Light & Railway company and others from Interfering with the construction of a railroad track on highway No. 2 In DaVis county bv the Salt Lake & Ogden Og-den rnllway company. It was set forth in the petition tiiat men employed employ-ed by the Utah Light & Railway company had torn up ties and in other ways interfered with the construction of the track. The writ, which was issued by Judge J. A Howell of the Second district court in Ogden yesterday yes-terday morning, was made returnable at the next session of the court in Davis county, which will be held December De-cember 27. The work which it is alleged was being Impeded was the construction of tracks by the Salt Lake & Ogden railway company at Bountiful. Simon Bamberger, president of the Salt Lake & Ogden railway company, said last night that some ties had been burned burn-ed and other damage done to the work that his company had started to do toward building the track. He said that people at Bountiful had been made to believe that his company com-pany had no right to build Its tracks there, but that It did have such a right. Au official of the Utah Light & Railway company said that his company com-pany had a franchise to construct a railroad in Bountiful, but had not yet started work, although It was expected expect-ed to do so early this week. The official also said that he didn't know of the Bamberger company having ai.. tracks in Bountiful or of any interference in-terference being made with any "railroad "rail-road construction work there. oo |
