Show RETURNS HERE AFTER TEN YEARS Frank J Berryeasa, a former business bus-iness man of Ogden. but until recently recent-ly living In California, Is visiting relatives rel-atives and friends whom ho has not seen in ten years. He Is now an engineer en-gineer on the Portland & Eugcno Eastern railroad, but Is taking a vacation va-cation for a few weeks. After leaving Ogden ten years ago Mr. Borryessa and hid wife went to Mexico City and conducted a hotel until signs of insurrection in-surrection appeared four years ago. "Mexico Is a wonderfully rich country," coun-try," said Mr. Borryessa, "and will prove a rich field for investors when tho trouble there Is ended. At the present time foreigners are in constant con-stant fear of their lives and most everyone ev-eryone who could get away has gono from the country. When we left there four vpars ago the natives would run through tho streets crying. 'Death to the Americano, and many citizens of the United States left aftor selling their property at a groat loss. "With scientific farming the land would yield great cropa and, even ub It Is, the natives with their ox teams and crude methods got good results. Tne Mormon tarmers and others coming com-ing from the United States have achieved great results on their farms ind they did much for the advancement advance-ment of the districts in which they lived " |
