Show SHOWING THE HEADLESS CAT New York, Nov 14 One of the most interesting exhibits propared for tho surgeons attending thc National Clinical congress here Is shown at the Cornell medical college In a series of demonstrations Prof. John Murlln is showing thc "headloss cat'' as a subject of physiological experiment It is declared possible to keep headless head-less cats alive for several days, if necessary In the experiments that are being carried on at present It Is rarely necessary to keep them alive much longer than 12 hours. The iy -poses of the experiments Is to study tho nervous system. What surgeons cite as evidence of rapid advance. In surgical progress is the exteut to which bone transplantation transplan-tation figures in operations that are being performed in this city this week. Several of these operations show that tho bones can be kept in cold storage stor-age for use whenever occasion arises. |
