Show BELMONT SHOWS AN IMPROVED CONDITION. A most excellent report Is to hand this weok from both the Belmont mill and mlno, the lattor developing most satisfactorily on all levels and especially espe-cially In the deepest workings of tho property, says the Tonopah .Miner. On the thirteenth level the east drift on the footwall branch of tho Belmont vein has now exposed a full lace of cry fine ore which may possibly pos-sibly prove to be the western end of the ore shoot opened up by the winze from the twelfth lovel some months ago. Ab this winze Is still about S00 feet cast, there, are ieat possibilities that a long shoot of fine grade ore will be developed. Another Important development Is In the Shaft vein where an Intermediate Intermedi-ate west drift was 'started from the top of tho raise lrom the 1100-foot level, and this drift Is being extended on a full face of vqrv fine ore. On the 900-foot level the drift on the Belmont vein continues to show a body of good mill ore, but on tho level bolow In the vein In crosscut 1001 the oro Is of slightly lower grade. The Del Monte, Thanksgiving and Lllllo Belle veins have so far failed to produce ore of a grade equal to that In the Belmont vein except at intervals, but development of these veins 1b still In progress. Prospecting crosscuts are still being extended both north and south on different dif-ferent levels, but the extent of this work Is at present limited until the automatic railroad for conveying waste to the dumps Is completed. This will be In a few days, when a considerable amount of additional underground work vlll be commenced, as will also the sinking of the main shaft to tho fourteenth level. |
