Show PROCEEDINGS IN POLICE COURT A. R, Kennedy was given a sentence sen-tence of ten days in jail by Judge Reodor this morning. eKnnedy was charged with vagrancy and it was alleged that he was following a drunken man for the purpose of robbing rob-bing him. According to the story told by the prisoner, he was helping the drunken man to- the depot, but he could not explain why he was leading lead-ing the man through a dark alley in the rear of a saloon and not taking him down tho lighted street. C. S. NicholB pleaded guilty to the charge of drunkenness, but assured tho judge in the best possible language lan-guage that never again would he be brought to trial on a similar charge.
