USE EXPLOSIVE ON A SAFE Evidence of an attempt at safecracking safe-cracking was found in the office of the American Linen Supply company this morning when the place was opened for the day. The police were notified and Detective George Wurrt-law Wurrt-law and Patrolman OBcar Swanaon went to tho scene. They found that entrance was made by breaking in a double door on the side of the building build-ing and olimlng through a window to the office. A charge of nltro-glyserino had been exploded, but the work was so bunglod that the safe was not Injured. In-jured. Soap, which had been used by the burglars, was left lying aronnd in tho room, nnd altogether the worlc appeared to be that of amateurs. An amusing feature is that tho Fafe was unlocked at the time the burglars entered. There wen nothing of value in the safe when the place was close Saturday evening, and it wan left unlocked un-locked to prevent useless mutilation in case burglars entered.
