It is a certainty that no one will be permitted to voto November 5 unless he la duly registered. The law provides for registration and it is very oxpllclt as to how It shall be i done. At times these registration bookB are revised and names that wore once on them are taken off, so it is well for one to see to it that his name has not been stricken from the list The only way to do this is to go to the registration regis-tration office. Those who voted in the city a year ago or in the county two yoars ago still have their names on the books but those who were registered and did not vote are not on the books Bach person entitled to the electlt franchise must register in the noting district where he resides and if, after he registers, ho moves to another district, he must have his name transferred from the list of his former for-mer residence. The registration officers offi-cers are requlrod to give certificates (of transfer when called for A transfer trans-fer may bo secured at any time and on any day prior to election day, but not election dav. It must be borne in mind, however, that voters can register their names on the voting lists only on the days above stated. |
